My key responsibilities with almost 30 years of hospitality experience and have made general management, strategic management, operations management, budget management, customer service, sales and marketing management, room division management, and hotel and resort operation management my preferred working field. Educated at one of the leading universities in Malaysia and also from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, New York USA, when it comes to the tourism and travel industry, the incoming tourism market has become my specialty. I have worked for most of my life outside of my home country, with more than 18 years of experience in Thailand and the rest in New York, Gold Coast, and Singapore, and Cruise liners particularly covering the Caribbean and Hawaii, I am no stranger to understanding the tourism market as a whole.

During my past years in the field of Hotels and Resorts General Management, Operations Management, and Hotel Development, I have engaged to develop an eye for details for obtaining market-specific knowledge, re-branding, re-positioning, sales and marketing hotels operation, hotel developments, hotel constructions plan and design trends of hotels, acquisition of hotels and resorts, where resourcefulness and running effectively in a highly competitive market segment and others expertise such as Strategic Analysis, Entrepreneurial Attitude, Operations Management with pre-opening experience, Procurement Management, and Sourcing, Business Development Solutions, P and L Responsibility, Operation Cost Control, Budget Management, Cost Control, and KPI Measurement, Human Resource Management and Training and Development. As a ‘red thread’ through my working style, I have been seen as a valuable colleague, who did not back from sometimes challenging situations and can put the ‘dot’ on the proverbial ‘i’, providing frequent, an ‘exceeding all expectations’ experience. Learning is part of life and I have been fortunate enough to add to my dynamic working style, a craving to learn more; this includes expanding a good amount of knowledge about the hotel and resort industry, human resourcing, cultural and enhancing leadership to broaden my own horizon have been one of these long-term goals. Working in the hospitality industry, for me is a part of life and I just simply love the hospitality life. Being among other people, working with people, and enjoying a respectful collaboration with colleagues and customers have always been on top of my list of priorities. Important for me is that balancing a working atmosphere with teamwork and understanding each other can lead to a perfect working atmosphere.
